Our History
Morçelik’s story is an engineering and labour legacy of more than 40 years, reaching from a lathe-work adventure that began in a foundry to today’s modern 7,000 m² indoor facility.
1947
The industrial journey begins with lathe work at the foundry of Hacı Ahmet Özdemir, uncle of founder Mehmet Özdemir.
1959
Mehmet Özdemir establishes his own lathe workshop.
1963
Öztunçlar Agricultural Machinery Ltd. is founded (50% partnership).
1973-1975
Relocation to Konya 1st OIZ and transformation into a joint-stock company.
Brand Foundation
1985
Mehmet Özdemir ends the partnership and, with his own capital, founds MORÇELİK Çelik Döküm Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. — as an independent brand in Konya 1st OIZ.
2010
The ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certificate is obtained.
2015
Relocation to the new and modern facility in Konya 3rd OIZ.
