At Morçelik, every cast part goes through a tightly controlled, six-stage production process from technical drawing to quality control. You can review each step of this process below.

ENGINEERING & DESIGN

Using SolidWorks-based solid modelling software, we carefully prepare the technical drawing of every part and validate dimensional tolerances and casting simulations during 3D modelling. This allows us to anticipate potential defects before production and minimise loss of time and material.

SAND & MOULDING

Moulding Sand Preparation

We prepare the moulding sand by continuously monitoring mixture ratios, moisture level and strength values. Because the homogeneity of the sand mixture directly affects surface quality and dimensional accuracy, we carry out this stage under laboratory control.

Moulding Process

The prepared sand mixture is shaped according to the mould geometry created during modelling. Moulding is a critical step that determines the dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness of the casting; therefore every mould is carefully inspected before melting.

MELTING

We melt grey, ductile and steel alloys at our facility with a capacity of up to 10 tonnes per single pour. During melting, temperature is continuously monitored, alloy composition is verified with spectral analysis and material quality is recorded for each charge.

CLEANING & GRINDING

Kalıptan çıkan dökme parçalar; çapak alma, kumlama ve yüzey temizleme işlemlerinden geçirilir. Ardından taşlama operasyonlarıyla yüzey pürüzsülüğü giderilir ve parçalar bir sonraki aşama olan ısıl işlem veya sevkiyata hazır hale getirilir.

HEAT TREATMENT FURNACE

In our high-capacity heat-treatment furnaces, cast parts undergo controlled-temperature annealing and normalizing to increase material strength, relieve internal stresses and refine the microstructure. This process ensures the parts are long-lasting and highly durable in the field.

QUALITY CONTROL

Before shipment, every part is tested with dimensional control, visual inspection and, when required, non-destructive testing methods. Carried out within our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, these checks guarantee that every product delivered fully complies with the required technical specification.
